Our Story

Temple of Praise Church in the Apostolic Faith began as a small parish in Washington, D.C. in 2009. Pastor Moses Wright and wife Nettrice, followed the call of God to start the church with a small membership, spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ and reaching out to their community.

From the beginning Pastor Wright envisioned the church to be a place for people who were concerned about knowing Our Lord Jesus Christ and those who wanted a transformed life from the inside out. Their journey has taken them from starting a small Bible Study held in their home in Maryland, to the small location on Rhode Island Ave, reinforced at the time by current members Eunice Albritton and longtime friend Pastor Lamont Blaino. Pastor Wright shared the burden with his wife Nettrice and a few others, whom eventually helped him plant the church. As in any true journey there were detours, in 2013 Pastor Wright began and participated in the Believers Bible Assembly mission which he would conduct a weekly Bible Study in Philadelphia, PA.

Slowly, more and more people from all walks of life, ages, and ethnicities came, attracted to the small church strong Bible teaching and caring family atmosphere. We continue to believe in God for growth all of which were development of his church now and in time to come.

History “the Journey” Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 14:6
